Location.

Located alongside quiet Little Castle Creek at the base of Castle Crags, our 45-unit RV park and campground offer creek side camping in the tall pines. Our location is easy to get to and from the I-5 and is two miles from the Castle Crags section of the Pacific Crest Trail. We’re just off Exit 728 at Railroad Park Road. Splash in the front pond, wade in Little Castle Creek, breathe in the fresh mountain air and relax in the natural beauty of this striking setting. The Sacramento River is nearby for fishing and you can bike through to the historic town of Dunsmuir.

Camping is a dream here…

Nothing beats waking up to the mountain fresh pine-scented air while camping. Railroad Park Resort offers 23 RV Sites and 24 Tent campsites scattered throughout our scenic property. Our tent camping sites are the perfect rustic setting, without sacrificing the modern amenities you enjoy.

Site Specs.

There are many RV hook-up sites with an easy pull through. We can accommodate your RVs up to 45 feet! Most sites have 30-amp electrical hook-ups and some designated sites accommodate up to 50 amps.

There is a firepit in each location. Most spots are full hook up. Please note the “PHU” which would indicate a partial hookup space without sewer. You can use the dumpsite of any open full hookup site when you depart for an additional $10.

This is a true visit by the fire, read a book, enjoy the kids kind of camping. Wi-Fi is often unavailable in our campground location. We are in the process of upgrading this system. Currently there is no guarantee of WIFI operating status or available band width within the campground. The restaurant and grounds near lodging provide stronger internet access.

RV Site Cable TV is not guaranteed. There are cable connections available however, most newer model RV TV’s are not compatible with some cable systems. Test your luck. Some may work :)

All of our attention is going to putting in a new system in May 2024! Soon this campground will be a true hot spot! (Pun intended)
